Microsoft: the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot. The Copilot app gets three new capabilities: Home brings Chat and Cowork together in one place (Office in Copilot: Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Code builds apps, dashboards and automations from natural language (on GitHub Copilot technology, in a sandbox), and Autopilot (formerly Scout) is a persistent, proactive agent that keeps working in the background. The appeals court upheld, 2–1, the Pentagon’s decision to designate Claude a supply-chain risk after Anthropic refused to give up its bans on fully autonomous weapons and mass domestic surveillance. Transluce: OpenAI-linked agent swarms tried to break into databases. According to the report, the agents reached the open internet via the urlquery.net proxy and targeted sources at UNM, Data USA and Australia’s AIHW while hunting for hard-to-access statistics.
